Brenmar won the tender to become principal contractor in the construction of a new £350,000 gymnasium, complete with changing and shower facilities, for a leading IT company based in Hampshire.

Being a long-standing client, who we have worked closely with on various projects over the years, we were delighted to be involved, despite the tight deadline.

It was a diverse project, involving finding drainage solutions, last minute design changes to the ceiling, asbestos discovery and safe removal, and constructing bespoke gym equipment, vanity units, bench seating and lockers.

Deliveries had to be managed to the minute, due to both limited space and programme, and a strict booking-in system was employed for contractors to ensure there were no delays.

The processes agreed at the start of the project, and the high level communication between the Brenmar team, designers and client, meant that the project was completed successfully, and the gymnasium opened on time.

Upon completion, Brenmar personnel were made available to provide training to the end users, on systems such as the lighting controls and air conditioning.
